Ein Mikrokosmos in einem Dorf, irgendwo in unserer turbulenten Gegenwart. Isabell besucht ihre Eltern. Die Mutter ist schwer krank, der Vater scheint zu resignieren und flüchtet in eine Affäre. Der Nachbar, ein Polizist, hat einen kritischen Blick auf das System. Isabells alter Schulfreund jobbt als Paketbote und träumt vom eigenen Business. Man redet über Sorgen, Enttäuschungen und Sehnsüchte. Trotzdem herrscht gegenseitige Verständnislosigkeit; vieles bleibt unausgesprochen. Aber die Frage steht im Raum, ob man sich weiterhin »von oben« alles gefallen lassen will. Widerstand muss ja nicht immer nur als Protest mit Pappschildern auf Demos daherkommen …
